Couples Therapy From Wherever You Are

I virtually serve couples physically located in California and Washington who are looking for real conversations, real support, and real solutions. Telehealth has been a valuable and effective method of engaging in therapy since before the pandemic.

Who do you work with?

My clients come to therapy because they are tired of having the same arguments over and over. One partner is saying they never listen to me. The other is saying I don’t know what to do to make them happy. They are stuck in a cycle of having the same fight over and over again. In our sessions, you get dedicated time to really hear each other.

We are going to have the hard talks so that you can get your relationship back on track and get to know your partner again. After working with me, client’s have reported better communication, they have the tools to handle the hard times, and that they enjoy being with their partner again.

How do you help?

Therapy with me isn't about providing quick answers. It's about making space to explore the questions underneath your struggles and figuring out: what do you want your relationship to look like?

Utilizing the Gottman Method, we will focus on three crucial tasks:

  • Rebuild or patch the foundation of the relationship

  • Learn how to have better conflict

  • Learn how to support your dreams

The Gottman Method is rooted in the belief that at the foundation of every successful relationship is a great friendship. By dealing with the stuff that is getting in the way, you can get back to enjoying your life together.

“One of the biggest issues I see in couples is that they don’t know how to have fun anymore. There are so many things getting in the way of being able to enjoy each other.”

The Practical Details

Couple’s therapy is not about fault, it’s about ownership. Utilizing the Gottman Method, you will learn how to communicate with your partner to navigate your problems. This is relationship help; without the sugarcoating. Both parties must be present and on camera for all sessions (including the consultation).

$235 per 90 min session*

$175 per 60 min session*

In a 90 minute session we will “do the work” for about 80 minutes and then take the last 10 minutes to wrap up, schedule, and do the administrative stuffs. A longer session time is recommended to allow for both parties to have ample time to talk. A shorter session is offered for practical reasons, but it can be difficult to have in depth conversations in the shortened time frame.

A Note on Insurance

You may have noticed I haven’t mentioned insurance…. That’s because I do not accept insurance. I am willing to provide a SuperBill for you to submit to your insurance for Out-of-Network coverage. You can check your out of network benefits below.

I have joined with Open Path to offer a select number of reduced fee (under $100) spots in my practice. If you are interested in working with me, but are experiencing a financial hardship that would prevent you from paying my full fee, Open Path is available to help qualify you for reduced fee sessions. Learn more about Open Path here.

For those who are interested in utilizing insurance benefits, Thrizer can help you navigate your out-of-network benefits and determine if some or all of the session cost can be reimbursed.
